ТОМ XL.THE CULTURAL LEGACY OF UZBEKISTAN IN MUSEUMS OF POLAND

The book-album “The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the Museums of Poland” from the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in World Collections series presents artifacts of this country from two cultural institutions. The largest collection of samples of applied art of Uzbekistan is kept in the Asia and Pacific Museum in Warsaw. Most of the items in the collection were created in the 1970s-80s, but there are also many earlier specimens dating from the late 19th – early 20th centuries. These are textiles, metal products (dishes and jewelry), ceramics and much more, collected during ethnographic expeditions or donated. Also, the reader will get acquainted with Uzbek artifacts from the Seweryn Udziela Ethnographic Museum in Kraków.
