A cauldron decorated with figures of goats

A large expedition led by M. E. Masson was organized during the construction of the Big Fergana Canal in 1939.

Its bed was cut through several sites, burial grounds and other places full of the richest archaeological material.

Among the finds, a cauldron (7th – 6th centuries BCE) found in the interfluve of the Naryn and Kashkadarya rivers is of particular interest. It is decorated with figures of goats and handles in the form of solar signs.
