What kind of headdresses did the women of Kashkadarya wear?

Headdresses of Kashkadarya women were notable for variety, embroidery technique and its composition.

Carpet embroidery using the iroqi technique gave them a special originality and distinguished them from other similar headdresses in Uzbekistan. The most common was a cap with the plaits decoration kulta or kiygich. It was a round hat trimmed along the edges with braid, the round top of which was slightly gathered.

A similar decoration for plaits with a round flat bottom was called a chochkop and was notable for the fact that its background was completely covered with carpet embroidery using the iroqi technique. Women also wore a variety of headscarves tied around the kulta. The chambar shoh was the traditional old headdress of the older women in Kashkadarya. It consisted of ten headscarves wound in the shape of horns and protected the woman's head from the scorching sun.
