Among Zoroastrian burial items, there is a camel-shaped zoomorphic OSTADON lying there. It was found…
«The great Sultan, very mild-tempered and generous, the best of Sultans, lord and protector of the people and faith, Ulughbek Kuragon – may Allah perpetuate his kingdom and ruling! – ordered to build this mausoleum, called «Avlod ul-Muborak» («Blessed family»). [It was erected in one month in 841 AH/1437–38»].
This inscription is one of the inscriptions in the interior of the Gumbazi Sayyidan mausoleum in Shahrisabz, reminiscent of the Shahi Zinda in Samarkand. It describes the Gumbazi Sayyidan mausoleum in Shahrisabz as "Avlod ul-Muborak" ("Blessed family").
According to information provided by researchers of the "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in World Collections" project, the inscriptions in the interior of the Gumbazi Sayyidan mausoleum have been partially restored. It runs in a wide band along the frieze of the square. The beginning of the text is assumed to have been in the southwest corner. The inscription is written in suls script on a brown background with white letters. This historical text is repeated twice on all four walls. Whether this was the result of incorrect restoration, or whether the text was originally written twice, is difficult to say now, as the text itself looks complete. However, in this form it only occupies half the space on the friezes of the walls. As for the date at the end of the text, which is now no longer preserved, it was recorded and transcribed by B.M. Babadzhonov during surveys in 1988.
