Among Zoroastrian burial items, there is a camel-shaped zoomorphic OSTADON lying there. It was found…
The gold-plated tray, dating back to the 10th-11th centuries, is particularly noteworthy as it belongs to the Samanid Emir and representative of the Ghaznavid dynasty, Abu Mansur ibn Sabuktegin.
The tray measures 37х22 cm and is considered not only a luxurious item, but also a high-level example of folk applied art. The harmony of the art of the Samanid and Ghaznavid periods is manifested in its characteristic decorations and processing style. This cultural continuity indicates the development of the craft traditions of the two dynasties.
The tray is valued not only as an example of material culture, but also as a living witness of history, art, and cultural heritage. This unique artifact is expected to be displayed in the exposition of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
