Among Zoroastrian burial items, there is a camel-shaped zoomorphic OSTADON lying there. It was found…
Manuscript arabe 5036 contains 74 paintings representing the constellations, each one represented as seen on the earthly sphere and as in the sky.
The style of some of these representations may have been partially inspired by pictorial models from China. Virgo is the sixth astrological constellation, lying between Leo and Libra. Here we can note the Chinese appearance of the constellation, figured as an angel, but with multicoloured wings, in accordance with Iranian beliefs. The Chinese ideal of beauty that we find here is found exactly identically in some paintings of the BnF Mi‘raj-nama.
