Parliamentary commission named “Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in World Collections” project of the year

The parliamentary commission for supporting non – governmental non – profit organizations and other civil society institutions under Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan named the project of the year. It was the project “Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in World Collections”.

That became known during the media festival “Ozod Yurt Tulkinlari” (“Waves of Free Country”), which took place yesterday in Tashkent.

“There are no analogues to the project “Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in World Collections”. In 2018, project carried out tremendous work, and in the next year we face many challenges. Road Map is being prepared, which will soon be announced”, – said the project supervisor, Edward Rtveladze.

“The initiative of President of Uzbekistan to preserve our cultural heritage today has found the support of three hundred world academicians who have been united around World Society for Study, Preservation and Popularization of Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan. And we thank those who supported us during this year”, said Firdavs Abdukhalikov, chairperson of the board of World Society for Study, Preservation and Popularization of Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan.

Along with this, UzReport won the Best TV Channel nomination at the media festival, Nukus Fm became the best radio station, and “Democratic Debate” talk show was the best media product dedicated to the election campaign in Uzbekistan.

The media festival “Ozod Yurt Tulkinlari” (“Waves of Free Country”) was held in Tashkent for the 12th time. It has been organized by National Association of Electronic Mass Media of Uzbekistan in partnership with Parliamentary Commission to support non – governmental non – profit organizations and other civil society institutions under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
