The Delegation from the Center for Islamic Civilization Continues to Study Turkey's Experience in the Field of Museum Affairs

A delegation led by Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairman of WOSCU, continues its visits to museums in the Republic of Turkey.

The Delegation from the Center for Islamic Civilization Continues to Study Turkey's Experience in the Field of Museum Affairs


The delegation includes representatives from international research centers such as the Imam Bukhari Center, the Imam Maturidi Center, and the Imam Termizi Center. The purpose of the visit, which will last until September 20, is to study Turkey's experience in enriching the exhibitions of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan with new meanings and to promote the Center’s projects on a broader scale.

The activities include programs that will take place in Istanbul and Ankara. Specifically, during the four-day visit, delegation members will familiarize themselves with the innovative experiences of museums such as the "Panorama 1453" Historical Museum, the "Istiqlal" Museum of Illusions in Istanbul, the Fuat Sezgin Museum of the History of Science, and the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum. The delegation will also visit the Yildiz Palace and Topkapi Palace, where exhibits related to the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan are displayed. Additionally, the delegation will visit the tomb of Ali Qushchi in the Eyüp Sultan Mausoleum.

As part of the meeting with the Director of The Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) and WOSCU Council Member Mahmud Erol Kılıç, Professor of Tekirdağ University and Scientific Advisor to the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan Halit Eren, and the Director of the Center for Islamic Studies (ISAM) Murtaza Bedir, a photo exhibition titled "New Uzbekistan: Time, Space, and Cultural Heritage" will take place, dedicated to the ancient and rich history and unique culture of Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, the delegation's program includes a roundtable discussion on “Uzbekistan-Türkiye: Common Roots and Common Heritage,” a presentation of the "Encyclopedia of Great Scholars of Uzbekistan" project, as well as visits to the Center for Islamic Studies (ISAM), Marmara University, the Istanbul Foundation for Research and Education (ISAR), the Uzbek Tekke in Üsküdar, the Turkish Manuscripts Institution, the Süleymaniye and Rumi Libraries, and the "Mega Basın" publishing house.
