Do you know that the archives of the Russian Ethnographic Museum contain photographs reflecting different areas of the traditional culture of the peoples of Uzbekistan of the 19th and early 20th centuries?!
In order to understand what kind of photographs are we talking about, we propose to learn from the report of Tatyana Emelianenko, a leading researcher on the traditional culture of the peoples of Central Asia of the Russian Ethnographic Museum, which is dedicated to the book-volume “Uzbekistan in historical photographs”, published within the framework of the project “Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in World Collections”.
This report was presented at the IV International Congress “Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan - the Foundation of a New Renaissance”, which took place on December 15-18, 2020 at the Palace of Youth Creativity.
