Alisher Navoi - a Landmark for the Uzbek Culture

An outstanding Uzbek poet and politician of the Middle Ages became one of the brightest symbols of the Timurid era, marked by the dawn of architecture, art and poetry.

The works of Navoi were copied countless times in various countries by order of numerous rulers.

The works written by the great poet, which are now stored in the manuscript fund of the Russian National Library and date back to the 15th-16th centuries are a unique collection. After all, handwritten monuments are an indicator of the cultural level of any civilization.
