Cultural legacy of Uzbekistan in Italian collections
The book-album Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the Collections of Italy presents a variety of artifacts created in the past on the territory of Uzbekistan and now stored in museums and private collections in Rome, Milan, Turin, Florence and Como.
These include Afrasiab ceramics, the architectural tiles of the Temurid period, magnificent suzanis, strikingly beautiful clothes from the late medieval Uzbek khanates and many more.
A special chapter is dedicated to the only surviving handwritten Hebrew translation of the full text of The Canon of Medicine by Abu Ali ibn Sina (Avicenna), which is now kept in Bologna.
