Reconstruction of Imam Bukhari complex has started
The reconstruction of the Imam Bukhari complex has started. Before the start of work in the Samarkand region, a pre-project event has been carried out, during which a presentation of a new project has took place, according to which, in general, the current appearance of the complex will be preserved.
After the reconstruction, pilgrims will have more opportunities to visit the burial place of the great theologian.
As part of the project, a new majestic mosque will be built, in which up to 8000 people will be able to pray simultaneously.
Minarets will be erected along the perimeter of the complex. New internal and external ayvans will appear.
A special place in the project is given to the preservation of a spring and centuries-old plane trees on the territory of the complex.
