Minsk hosts an exhibition of book-albums of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections project
An exhibition of 35 volumes of the series Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections is being held at the CIS headquarters in Minsk.
The exhibition presents illustrated editions of the series of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections project, books-albums, samples of decorative and applied art of the Uzbek people, copies of miniatures of rare handwritten works written by medieval scientists and thinkers of Central Asia. The exposition is complemented by a video demonstrating exhibits stored in various museums of the world related to the ancient history of Uzbekistan.
The exhibition aroused great interest among the staff of the CIS Executive Committee and its guests.
“The multi-volume collection of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the World Collections project is a magnificent masterpiece, which contains the pearls of historical and cultural legacy of the Uzbek people,” said Beketzhan Zhumakhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary.
It should be noted that the exhibition organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Minsk and the Presidential Library of the Republic of Belarus takes place in the Year of Folk Art and Cultural Heritage in the CIS.
