9th International Biennale of Contemporary Art to be held in Tashkent

From October 24 to 28, artists from 35 countries will take part in the 9th International Biennale of Contemporary Art. The main theme of the exhibition is "Artist and society: concepts of future art".

Artists and creative teams will present projects in areas such as modern art and contemporary art. The former, according to organizers represented by the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, includes painting, drawing and sculpture, the latter installations, video and photo art, as well as conceptual art.

The biennale program includes seven exhibitions that will introduce the work of contemporary artists from Uzbekistan, Central and East Asia and Europe.

Invited curators will give talks and master classes at the Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Arts and Design.
