The World Society for the Study, Preservation and Promotion of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan has been granted a unique right to create a copy of the unique work by the medieval author Clavijo.
Clavijo had written this work about half a century before the beginning of book printing in Spain, and it was first published only 150 years after its creation.
"During the visit of the Chairman of the World Society Firdavs Abdukhalikov to Spain, we had the good fortune to see these unique works with our own eyes, as well as to meet and negotiate on cooperation with the Director of the Department of Manuscripts and Incunabula at the National Library of Spain, Javier Docampo Capilla. Based on the results of the negotiations, the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Promotion of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan has been granted a unique right to create a copy of the handwritten version of the diary,” said Charlotte Kramer, President of the Müller und Schindler Publishing House.
A copy of the manuscript is going to be published jointly by the Austrian publishing house Müller und Schindler and the National Media Association of Uzbekistan.
It is worth mentioning that a new direction of activity of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Promotion of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan is a project aimed at republishing the outstanding works dedicated to the history of Uzbekistan and its remarkable personalities, and one of them is the work written by the Spanish medieval author Ruy González de Clavijo.
It should be noted that the project is being implemented with the support of the international oilfield service company Eriell Group.
