Acquaintance with the Mui-i Mubarak Madrasah

Mui-i Mubarak Madrasah is located in the southern part of the architectural ensemble of Hazrat Imam.

The building is square in plan, hujras are located around the courtyard on three sides, a mihrab is on the west, and there are window openings on its sides.

Almost half of the courtyard was occupied by the mausoleum covered with a dome. Between the mausoleum and the western wall of the madrasah stood an iwan on six columns.

The entrance to the madrasah, decorated with a small portal, was made in the western wall from the corner.

In the first decade of the 21st century, the building was thoroughly restored, reconstructed, and it became visible from all sides.

Today, the madrasah houses a library. It was formed based on the personal library of manuscripts which belonged to Ishan Babakhan ibn Abdulmajidkhan.

Today, the library collection has more than 20 thousand printed books and more than 2 thousand manuscripts. The famous Qur'an of Caliph Uthman is kept in a special case in the central hall.
